Matthew 6:14-15 (KJV)
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
The Bible is very clear on this topic. We sometimes “expect” God to forgive us of our sins or trespasses against Him, yet we are stubborn to forgive those we do wrong against us. Don’t you think this just shows how depraved we truly are as fleshly beings?
If someone hurts your child, what do you do? If someone hurts yourself, what do you do? If someone speaks badly of you behind your back, what do you do? If you were raised by a single parent, the other one just walked out on you and the parent you live with and this caused great pain and sometimes poverty to fall upon you, what do you do and what is your attitude towards the one who left you? If a spouse or partner cheats on you, what do you do?
The list may go on, but Scripture is very clear on what we should do with no exceptions... We must forgive or we won’t be forgiven, FULLSTOP! The Bible leaves no room for “But this” and “But that”. We must leave them in God’s hands and pray for them. We have been given an order by our Lord and we MUST obey, no questions asked!
Just salute (praise) your commanding officer (Jesus Christ) and say “Sir, yes sir” (“Amen”).
What happens if during a heated argument, that spans a month, a person, who believes, is hit on the head, by a flying sauce pan and dies.
ReplyDeleteThey've sinned. There're in sin. What does God do with them?
I enjoy the fervor of your writing.
Well Im not gona pretend to know what God does to a believer if he isn't forgiven, but it comes down to being slow to anger, slow to speak and quick to listen and the argument shouldnt last that long if you truly obey the Word of God.
ReplyDeleteIt is then your own doing by remaining in anger with your 'neighbour' and not forgiving immediately. You are also violating 'if someone smacks you on the right cheek give also your left'. If you live with such constant submission and denying of self, then the argument wouldnt last that long in the first place.
